Dozo Sushi Japanese Fine Dining Restaurant

Our dining experience at DOZO was really great, everything from the ambience to the food and services was above expectation! A perfect birthday treat from my hubby and we both had a great time dining at DOZO, absolutely love it!

Walking into the restaurant, friendly staffs welcome us with warm greetings. The place is really quite comfortable to dine in, with dim lights and candles on every table
(Very romantic).

There's actually a lounge area and also various private rooms in different themes to choose from for those on business functions or certain occasions with large groups having some celebrations together.

There’s 3 different flavours of Bread Sticks for diners to munch on before the appetizers are served very tasty.

Citrus drink to stimulate your appetite.

Course 1: Chef Selection of Assorted Platter (Seared Scallop, Foie Gras, Smoke Salmon)
It serves three canapés on a long dish. The canapés was foie gras with bread, scallop with cream sauce and greens, and smoked salmon wrapped in avocado.

Course 2: Cold Dish King Crab Claw Salad with Mango

The meat was very fresh, moist and sweet and it goes very well with the chopped mango best combo. Very Refreshing!!

Course 2: Cold Dish Smoked Duck Breast on bed of Greens with Cranberry Venetta.

Here's my favourite dish heavenly taste, really!
I love those chilled thin slices of duck meat, so well cooked.

Course 3: Side Dish Gratinated Escargots with Yuzu Butter

The cheese and butter is the best to bake with escargot. And the escargot wasn't too chewy or salty, it was perfect!

Course 3: Side Dish Foie Gras Chawanmushi with Truffle Slice

Foie Gras Chawanmushi is quite ordinary taste nothing special actually.
Quite disappointing but if you treat it as normal Chawanmushi well it still taste good.

Course 4: Soup Infusion of Cepes Mushroom with Truffle

Taste the earthly fragrance and taste of mushrooms stood out strongly and wasn’t all too milky. The little piece of black truffle was a little bland though.

Course 4: Soup Crab Bisque Cappuccino Style

This was a totally different beast compared to the other soup. This bisque was very rich, creamy and frothed up (hence the ‘cappuccino style’) Love it.
Course 5: Entree Beef Tenderloin on Pu-ye and Granite Hotstone

The restaurant proud of its beef tenderloin main course. It certainly has that wow factor. Slabs of raw beef are served over a sizzling hot granite stone. The idea is that you can decide how well-done you want your meat.
Course 5: Entree Poached Salmon with Edamame-miso dip and butter vegetable

The contrast was stark against the Poached Salmon with Edamame-miso Dip with Butter Poached Vegetables is simple unique and delicious.
Course 6: Dessert French Cream Chesse Cake
Too Creamy for my taste
Course 6: Dessert Warm chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream
Hubby Favourite Dessert! Warm chocolate cake with a liquid centre. Delicious and perfect with vanilla ice cream Yummy!

Course 7: Mocktail of Love

Happy Birthday to me !!!

Ocean Restaurant by Cat Cora at Resorts World Sentosa

"Dinner at Ocean Restaurant", so I was brought to this cosy dining establishment on our Wedding Anniversary. Apparently, Ocean Restaurant was chosen because it's somewhere I had dream to go to for a very long time. Hubby knows that, so here I am to the very place, the environment is very comfortable with beautiful view of the aquarium, elegant ambience, delectable food, excellent service, our lovely dinner marked a very memorable start to another blissful season in life.

Tip: If you're planning to have a romantic dinner here, a table on the aquarium view would be more ideal, unless the restaurant is hosting big groups that evening. It's always good to ask beforehand when making your reservation.

The Ocean's cuisine is described as "Mediterranean-Californian influences with an Asian flair", featuring a combination of chef's starter, hot starter, soup, 2 entree and dessert to be enjoyed as a set meal. The concept is such that several options are available for each course, so we get to chose what we fancy.

If your dining companion is one who doesn't mind sharing food, my advice is to order different items like what we did. Just relax and enjoy.

We were started off with a Amuse Bouche (Complimentary) Soft boiled egg, bacon foam with caramelised onion, which was tasty to start of our meal that followed.

Next up, Starter with mouth watering 42°C Sous Vide Salmon, Salmon Mousse, Citrus Minestrone, Ikura & Shaved Fennel Salad, and the presentation is so beautiful and appetising.

Follow by, Soup Creme of Butternut and pumpkin, chicken and cheese tortellini. It very tasty and yummy.

Here come our main Entree 1 will be Braised "Boneless" Wagyu Short Rib with Foie gras.
Follow by Entree 2 will be Baked Cod Fish with Cabbage.

Finally our Dessert.... Yoghurt with mocha ice-cream and mix fruits ... well this taste disappointing.

We were surprise by the Anniversary cake the restaurant provide and is yummy ...Mango Cheesecake... Well the overall concluding that exceedingly pleasant and substantial meal on a sweet note.
